Happpy Anniversary My Love!

12 years ago I met the man I would marry. I had NO idea at the time that we would fall in love, get married and have 3 kids but I sure am glad that was our path. Ben and I dated for some time. We enjoyed lots of fun times, trips, and I guess now I can say freedom to do it all. When he proposed May 11th at Topsail Beach, NC I was what you could say "SPEECH LESS" of course I said yes, and almost a year after we were married in a beautiful ceremony in Raleigh, NC. Our life began not just on April 26th our wedding day but 12 years ago when I met my true best friend who I can not imagine my life without. I didn't just marry my boyfriend I married my best friend. We still enjoy being adventurous together, traveling, hiking and trying things even with 3 kids that most people would shy away from. Together we can do it all!! We may be getting older and our lives crazy busy but one thing hasn't change. We not only LOVE one another but genuinely enjoy each others company and respect each other for who we are. No changes necessary here. Ben's a keeper in my book!

So on this day I say Happy Anniversary my love. I am so lucky to have met you 12 years ago and even luckier to have you as my husband for the last 7. I hope we have many more fantastic years together. I am one lucky girl to have such a wonderful husband, family and life. I couldn't ask for more.

Kid update

Well just a quick update on the kids. Haven't done one for all the kids in a while so thought best I do as I diligently did one for Aiden every month for the last year and feel a bit guilty as I havent done much updating for the big boys. So here it goes.

Keaton: Amazing is the word I use to best describe. He is just one smart,bright cookie. He has flourished in kindergarten and we couldn't be prouder of him. He pretty much has mastered his site word list. Is a beginner reader. He can write sentence with correct capitalization and punctuation. He can tell you verbatim anything he hears. He has the best memory of anyone I've ever met. He can recite or sing a song after the first time he hears it. This is no good for me as he repeats what I say and never lets anything go by. He can do subtraction and addition now and tells time to the hour,half hour and quarter hour. Like I said he is doing so well.

He is growing like a weed. He is 50 lbs and 50 inches tall. He still is a skinny little fart who now wears a size 7 pant and size 2 shoe.

He played in the Upwards basketball league this past Winter for 3 months and had a blast. He is now playing soccer thru the Banning Lewis Academy athletics. He loves it as his teachers husband is the coach and his teacher helps out most practices. He is riding his bike now which is a wonderful accomplishment as he wouldn't even give his bike a second glance for the last 2 years. The big event that just took place recently is the falling out of the first front tooth. He is now smiling with a pretty big hole in his smile. It's quit the smile. He has grow up so much this past year and it's hard to believe he's 6 already and finishing kindergarten. Time has flown by and my little baby has grown into a fine young boy.

Ryan has grown so much over the last year. He started his first year of preschool this year and has done so well. Ryan has an imagination that just make you smile. He can turn anything into something fun. He still is much more serious and cautious than Keaton about almost everything. He is slow to warm up but once there he is the most loving,fun kid. He has learned the letters of the alphabet, by site and sound and now is mastering writing them. He can write his name and loves to draw pictures that only he usually knows what they are. He has taken a liking to Star Wars due to his big brother and friends. Still loves his dinosaurs however! Ryan is handling having a pesky little brother in his things pretty well. He just loves his baby brother so much but one day I have a feeling there's going to be a battle royal. Ryan will turn 4 at the end of May and I look forward to all the amazing accomplishments he makes going forward. One awesome kid my Ryan.

Aiden: I just updated for his one year update so take a peak at previous post. He is doing great and getting SOOOOOO big.

All I know is that I am one lucky mom to have such wonderful, healthy kids. I felt like a bragger when writing this post but I'm there mom, I'm suppose to boast and be proud. Plus that's what this blog is about so what better place to talk them up!!!

Aiden "ONE" year stats

Well we made it to the big "ONE" mark which blows my mind. I feel like I was huge and pregnant just yesterday but my little boy is no longer an infant he is a toddler now and a very happy and agreeable one at that.

What Aiden's up to now:

Weight: 25lbs Height: 33 inches
*Walking, Walking, Walking...he's everywhere and into everything
*getting 2 molars in the back and chewing on EVERYTHING he can get his mouth on

*climbing anything he finds fit to climb

*Adores his big brothers and gets REALLY mad when he gets left behind

*Is chatting more and more everyday -moms favorite is waving night, night

*Waves and claps

*Found out he's allergic to penicillin as he broke out recently in a head to toe hive nightmare

*Loves giving open mouth kisses and a great hugger

*DOES NOT LIKE TO WATCH TV but does LOVE music

*Loves being outside to play, loves the slides and swing at the parks now

*Uses a sippy cup now and almost weaned from breastfeeding. YEAH!!!

One great kiddo I do declare. Keep up the good work Aiden!!! LOVE YOU!

Lucky Me

Lucky......that word describes how I feel about my life. I'm just plain lucky. I have 3 fantastic kids, a wonderful husband and a life that I could have only dreamed to live. Life is good and I want to make sure I acknowledge it. Life is only what you make of it and I plan to make the most of it each and every day.

Gotta Change it....NOW!

Good thing I didn't have a girl as I can't even stomach all this pink on my blog page. I gotta change this page as I thought a little pink could be fun but every time I have looked at it I think of pepto bismol and feel the need to puke so I think it's time to make a change.

Not ready

Keaton is on the verge of losing his left front tooth. It's hanging by a thread but yet we can't get the thing pulled out so there it hangs. Something about him losing this tooth has just made me sad. To be honest I don't really want him to lose his tooth. That smile is the smile that has looked at me for the last 5 year years and I'm just not ready for the toothless grin or the new permanent tooth that will replace it. I'm trying to hold on to little Keaton but he's forging ahead and wasting no time growing up. This morning I dropped him off at school and looked at that sweet smile with all his teeth for the last time as I have a feeling that when I pick him up today he'll be smiling with one less baby tooth:( Keaton however is so excited to be losing another tooth and he can't wait for the tooth fairy to visit. So mommy will take his lead and embrace the fact that he's growing up healthy and happy and this tooth with be part of the new smile that he'll be looking at me with for the rest of his life.

Pink that's right PINK!!

A recent Ryan quote I don't wont to forget. I recently got a new phone and the phone happens to be pink which is about the only pink thing in my life right now. Ryan picked up my phone recently and said "Mom, PINK? Why is your phone pink. Pink is for girls. " I told him I am a girl. He replied..."Your not a girl mom, your a mommy, not a girl!" So there you have it. I'm a mommy not a girl. This is even more reason to have a pink phone. Oh boys!!
