Choo,Choo...All Aboard!!As many of you already know our Keaton is in love with trains. Thank goodness he has found other interest such as sharks, whales, crocs and good old Steve Erwin. However trains still seem to be a favorite. We have been trying for weeks to get take Keaton on a train ride but we continually kept looking like lying parents as either we were negligent and didn't get tickets in time or the train was closed for repairs everytime we attempted to ride. Well, this past Sunday we finally had success. Keaton got his train ride and much, much more! We headed out Sunday afternoon with a cooler in hand for Pullen Park. Just some quick history on Pullen Park. It's a great place that has lots of space to let kids run and play while also having kiddy rides such as the train, carousel,kiddy boats,paddle boats and a lake to feed the ducks. We set up a picnic under a shelter next to the train track so Keaton could watch the train go by as we ate. Of course he didn't want to eat as the train was calling him. He was soooo excited! After lunch we headed to the beloved train and boarded with success!! Yeah, we came thru! Keaton was in his height of glory, beaming from ear to ear. We rode the train twice, fed the ducks, rode the carousel and overall had a wonderful day. Keaton even baked chocolate chip cookies later that day and boy were they yummy.
